Water

The organic compounds in our cells - the amino acids, the half-formed proteins, the massive molecular ribosomal factories - all of these are not floating in vaccuum - or even in air.

They are disolved and function in water - the medium in which replication and evolution began. For them, water is the universe - of action, of life.

We are all creatures of water. It flows through us and we flow through it. We fool ourselves when we think we move about - free of water. Oh no! We are bound still, We just have our pipes and taps and labyrynthic water delivery systems to keep us ever connected to water - and hence to life. Like, long, infinetely divided root systems, we are very much tethered to our water.

Ask someone living in the desert - away from the flowing liquid - and we understand how - Water is Life.

The wet path

The wet path is available - from the cells of (say) chickens, to their bodies hanging in the meat markets and factories, to the hands and then mouths of the handlers, to the bloodstream and then human cells, then through their bodies and thtrough the sneezes, through tiny droplets to another human host - the wet path.
